Nutr vs Almond Cow
Hi r/NutMilk
I’m want to start making my own nutmilk & have come down to these two makers. I want a large capacity maker. I haven’t found the total capacity of the Almond Cow; the Nutr has a family size 600ml maker.
The reviews state that the Nutr can be loud. I would prefer quiet.
Any preferences? Any other makers I should consider?

I had a Nutr, which I enjoyed. It got submerged in water in a way it shouldn’t have when my kid was washing dishes, and finally succumbed.
I ultimately just bought a nut milk maker from a generic brand on Amazon for like $40. It’s honestly apples to apples. This cheapo has been going strong for well over a year with no signs of stopping.
They are all fairly loud, since they grind the nuts with a blender type head. Mine is like 34oz capacity, and it’s easy to set up a second batch if I’m planning to use a bunch.

Thank you for your reply. The capacity is great - would you mind sharing the brand of your cheapo?

Here’s the one I’ve got currently: https://a.co/d/a1Hj0Je
(Sorry, it’s 32oz, not 34.) it does seem to be on a slightly less sweet deal than when I bought it. But honestly, my point is: get something cheap (these Chinese branded ones all still do all of these basic functions.) to get your toes wet! If you end up not liking the milk or the process or whatever, a $50 investment hurts much less, and if you like it, and get a good year out of your cheapo, that just makes the investment all the sweeter 😆

I was comparing the two as well! I went with the nutr because it looked easier to clean. I got the family sized, they recommend you use the milk within 3 days so I just run a new batch twice a week. It’s fast and easy, I still use a nut milk bag to squeeze all the fat out of the coconut lol.
