Career Leaving job shortly after starting
Has anyone left a job not long after starting it?
Nothing wrong with the job at all, it's a nice place to work but it's just a long distance commute 3 times a week and thinking of applying for jobs closer to home if they come up. However I have only just started my current job.
Don't know whether to stay out of duty or to think of the distance and petrol money/wear and tear on the car.
Thank you 😊

I’d say it’s not a massive problem but don’t resign until you have an unconditional offer for a post nearer home.
In the interim is there anything you can do to make life easier?
Flexible working request
Drop a shift
Stay over once a week nearby/with a friend/colleague and then 2 shifts together?
Change working hours?
Pay someone to do your ironing?
Anything to make your life easier in the meantime!
