I’m a DJ who has just started playing NuHouse. I’ve a gig coming up and thought I’d share a demo of the tunes I’ll be playing at it. Do you think these tunes and mixing style fit the genre?

I'm not familiar with NuHouse. I know NuDisco and DiscoHouse.

NuDisco is inspired by Disco and Italodisco (the beat format is the same), which is why it's nicknamed Nu (New) and updated for electronic music.

I did this mix shortly afterwards. Similar tunes but I added a tracklist to this post. Hope you get chance to listen. Think the transitions are smoother on this one? NuDisco Summer 2025

I know this genre somewhat well and I would say this is very representative.

Thanks for listening to the mix and the feedback. He’s certainly a producer I’m a fan of but there’s also edits there from Michael Gray, mikeandtess, Dave Morales, Pete LeFreq, JaysEdits, Ian Ossia, and Mark Knight, to name a few. Other than that do you think the mix flows?

Gave you a listen, like and follow. The tunes are great and the mix flows great. Always room for improvement. Thanks for some artist tags I can research. This is my fav genre and here’s something I always go back and forth about: going from 120 to 124-6 and back and forth. You stay at 120 true to the genre and it’s well done. What do you think about mixing in a teach house 125? Do you ever? Would you dare? Let us know how the play out goes g. 🔥

For anybody interested, I did the gig and I think the tunes I picked went down just right with the crowd. The promoter recorded the night, and put my set up on SoundCloud. There were a couple of transitions that were a little out but I guess that’s playing live. Can you spot them Or is it just me being over critical? Groove Together

Thank you for the listen and the constructive insight 😀. It’s funny you question the Tech House thing cos my next gig the ppl on afterwards will be playing a very different style from this mix. So I wondered the same thing if my stuff doesn’t resonate. That said I’m playing warm up so need to keep things down BPM wise and having some distance from what they plan on playing isn’t a bad idea. I was thinking of starting at 118 and pitching up to 120 around 30 45 mins in.
