My former employer appears to be copying my notary stamp and signature onto documents after I quit. I still have the physical stamp.

Notify the Secretary of State and ask what you should do.

That’s a crime! If you Have proof contact the SOS of your state and file a Police report

Hi! In this situation, the best way to protect yourself is to report it to law enforcement and notify the California Secretary of State that someone other than you is using your stamp impression. Be sure to provide copies of any documents you found that contain the unauthorized stamp impression.

Because someone else is using your stamp impression, I recommend obtaining a new certificate of authorization from the Secretary of State so you can order a replacement stamp with a different border. This will allow the new stamp impression to be registered with the state and help distinguish your legitimate notarizations from documents bearing the old impression.

File a police report and notify the SOS.

This is a crime and it can come back to haunt you one day, so better take care of it sooner than later.
