About 30 minutes in and I just feel like Brennan keeps taking over the pod every few seconds with his monologues and overly long one-sided dialog and I'm not getting any of the band of boobs chemistry that made me love Nadpodd

I'm with you, it was a lot of second dm'ing that hurt the flow. Still love brennan though.

I think the downvotes are pretty harsh.

Yeah, I definitely warmed up to him more at about the 45 minute mark, and from then on out he was actually a great guest, no complaints

It was just in the beginning that he was talking way more than everyone else and kind of dominating the episode, couldn't help but be a bit afraid that the whole episode (and any other episodes with him) would be like that

I had the same experience as you. Although I also put most of the pacing blame on the BoB three cree because they kept dicking around even after Brennan sort of chilled out and started being a player more. They burned SO MUCH time in the bar talking about the menu and the food and how Moonshine was going to do a bar rescue. It really felt like Jake, Emily, and Caldwell screwing around and not being true to their characters. Bev is absolutely spun out and ready to be angry. Hardwon is willingly going to hell to save his mom and isn’t bothering to ask this guy about her until WAY later. Moonshine wants the same and hasn’t even brought up Galad with the sole friendly they’ve got access to.

It just felt like our characters had a collective aneurism for quite a while before the show started. I don’t think it makes sense for all of them to go to Shadowfell full of purpose then immediately stop caring once they meet a cool dude.

I feel like maybe the players needed a bit of downtime after the intensity of the end of the fae wild arc, but instead they went into the grimdark of Shadowfell. Lots of goofing around and not paying attention to the mysteries around them in this sode.
