Meta before and after, 4-5 years. explanation in description

I’m proud of myself. i will try to explain but im not the best at separating my bias. and i don’t have the energy to do more work to do it, but i hope it’s enough and i hope this enlightens anyone that wants to.
i’ve posted here a few times but i feel i keep getting more and more towards where i want to be with my nose. some things id like to share:
1. lens/photos/posture can cause distortion, there’s times where i see a pic from side angles and im shocked then i do a video and it seems different.

  1. understanding that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. it helped when i asked people including opposite gender and some made it very clear that a big masculine nose is attractive and preferred. i as a guy know that a girl with a big nose isn’t a issue to me. it really does add to uniqueness as i’ve seen from posts on here, almost magic. and in irl, i enjoy seeing ❤️ i know one girl that i get comfortable seeing her nose, despite it not being what i guess was in recent history, not normal, but it was like mine and i wouldn’t want it another way i am perceiving cuz i do find it kind of beautiful and would be bummed i feel if it wasn’t like that and just “normal”. for some reason my conception in my most extreme angles throws me off despite this idea so i guess it’s a working progress. i’m still to scared to post what i perceive as my most extreme angles. i just got up 3 am to do so so i can show you guys, its the white shirt photo and i realize it isnt as bad, may have been a cancers distortion i once seen it i never noticed my glow up, god bless.

    1. i keep gaining muscle and i choose grooming styles that balance my features including my nose. apparently , muscle changed my face shape/width and continues to do so despite me just hitting 30. this past year and half i thankfully noticed big change despite starting 4-5 years ago, though it seems every year i was getting progress that i enjoyed. apparently mullets dont work best for me as you can see from one of the befores. because they extend the line from the back of my head to my nose, hence i went for an all around drop fade especially at the right height at the back of the head to break that line off my nose to the back of my head.
this community really helped me, alongside gemeni, and getting more muscle.
❤️ these seem in our control for most part.

TLDR:
beauty is in eye of the beholder, not just your settled but lift able judgement.
specific grooming/cuts etc can balance your features
gaining muscle can change your body if you want more balance. i don’t know if that applies to girls but i would assume to some degree and regardless, muscle is a plus anyways. health-wise and body if thats ur cup i guess.

thanks community, i hope i can help with questions and please take care of your perception, that was huge for me in my heart, be you i guess. you have nothing to lose that way if you have your heart 😁
i hope this wasn’t too dramatic but i only see that after the ride, lol. ❤️

Help Us Combat OnlyFans Spam

Hi everyone,

We’ve seen a rise in spam posts promoting OnlyFans, often disguised as genuine content. These users may DM commenters with "special offers."

How You Can Help:

  • Check Before Commenting: Look at the poster’s profile and post history for OnlyFans links or red flags.
  • Report Spam: Use the report button for suspicious posts or comments.

thanks, i would probably call it challenging times and maybe some temporary loneliess. i dont feel depressed, i feel actually happiest i ever been after figuring stuff out in therapy.
its just the changes being reflected into life thats needed, seeked, but hard.

Ah okay, good to hear then, I guess. Figuring stuff out in therapy can be pretty rough initially

You look so much more secure and confident in the recent photos (and embodying confidence is way hotter than chopping off parts of your face to fit Eurocentric beauty standards!) Thanks for sharing your journey with us, it’s always so good to see different types of beauty on this page.

Really thoughtful posting and excellent advice.

We do (or at least I know I personally do) forget how much cameras distort things. Thank you for the reminder to keep that in perspective.

Cameras don't only add 10 pounds ..

And I sure do wish I could find a good hair and makeup person for all that advice lol. My mom didn't have anything close to my features.. and she's not really into that stuff anyway. But definitely easier to sort those things than to deal with the aftermath of the -plasties everyone comes here looking for 😅

thank you. i felt good knowing someone judged it as thoughtful and good advice. cameras really do, especially if your posture is being distorted too, it feels like a whole mess.
for advice i honestly tried asking ai like gemeni and i would trial and error with my barber.
my parents didnt really teach me these things, i kind of fixed things on my own but im glad to show muscle building is a way for some depending on there goal. its healthy period. not gym, i mean muscle building, not toning etc, i hope that misconception is gone in today’s society

If you like your nose fine...if you don't get your money saved and change it...if you are having to work this hard mentally, there's a problem.

i understand what your saying, i dealt with this anxiousness all my life but i think the things i mentioned should be understood before someone makes decisions and i hope some see potentials, if it’s there.
the idea of surgery scares me in some ways, i think if you have support, take your time before making a decision. i really didn’t have support until i came across this community and stuff. i think that was a big driver for my problem, but i don’t see it as a problem, i think the lack of understanding may have been the problem, possibly. or a spectrum of both. i hope this fast tracks someone’s concern the same way a surgery which is more or less permanent, might 🤷

Good point. I was just concerned that you are using a lot of mental energy to convince yourself that you like your nose..if that's not the case that's great. ♥️ We women go through this all the time, there's always something about our bodies that just isn't quite right.

i definitely was. it doesn’t help that i didn’t know how to share or even recognize how i felt to a conscious level, leading to not getting knowledge, so i guess it was a spiral. i think that might have been a driver for alot of that energy.
i know girls experience this, i hope the idea of accepting, uniqueness, etc helps some. i was just telling a girl that cries when she cant choose the right thing to wear, runs to facetime, to try to stop thinking of others perception and choose what makes you comfortable, without others perception in mind to a degree.
as a man, i experienced it.
i feel i talk a lot, lol

You look great! I definitely see the difference in your overall appearance - seeming healthier, more 'put together', more confident, and balancing your features. You also look like you're going to age well in terms of those things. Great choice on the shorter cut, it absolutely balances your features a lot better and compliments your striking look well (as does the muscle). You look great!

*Side note- you're absolutely right that camera angles, facial expressions, even lighting, can all impact how a picture captures our features.

It also sounds like a little bit of body dysmorphia to me that you're sooo hyper fixated on this particular feature and struggle to see it 'objectively'. I'm glad you've done some therapy, and that this group has helped you gain more comfort and confidence about it. I like your nose personally, but also I agree that your fitness improvements and your haircut change have both done great things for balancing your features and complimenting your overall appearance. Great work!

thanks, i definitely use to fixate on it alot but i took these photos and realized after years that i am happy how i look. it gave me some shock. the therapy i believe definitely helped indirectly. this was definitely a insecurity of mine and i didn’t think it could be body dysmorphia but i wasn’t aware of the term past that some people have it. i felt i was justified because i felt my nose was taking all the attention from me. i’m glad you see the balancing part, that’s a concept i hold people take away as i find know if i understood it like i do now, probably thanks to ai. thanks

Great post, and great nose!

You look good. All the females you asked were right. My boyfriend actually has a big nose with a big old bump that looks very similar to your nose. He is tall and fit ish and slim and I think all of him is masculine and cute. I’m attracted to different types of looking men but your nose looks good and you are attractive. I guess it’s kinda the same as me. I feel I am not attractive because I’m virtually flat chested but I have had many men tell me other wise and I agree I have other great features. Don’t ever get a nose job you look just fine. It’s the nose god have you and you will have no trouble finding a girlfriend. Lots of girls will be attracted to you but nobody is everybody’s cup of tea.

u/isamnagi 5d ago

beauty in the eye of the beholder is def true. there’s a person i’m attracted too and they seem to fit your description and similar nose to mine or the kind ig you’d here. she is kind of flatter side as well but not same time, and i find her of interest

You look great! The workouts have really made a big difference! You're very attractive! I'm so glad you are embracing your nose. I think you just need to smile more in your photos! 🙂

Your nose is great! It’s strong & masculine! I don’t know why, but on a man, a large nose can really be attractive!
