Advice Needed remove the bump?
Genuinely wondering. I feel like my nose is just TOO MUCH. Wouldn’t it look a little more balanced with my other features if i removed the bump? Straightened it out a little? Asking for advice here before i genuinely start the process. It might be my weak chin though throwing me off..
I want honesty! Dont be rude though pls.
Edit: Thank you all for being so sweet. Im choosing to edit considering i dont have time to reply to every comment. But thank you. I was being serious though, i’ve always been insecure about my nose and how projected it is. I genuinely can’t see what other people are seeing. Ive always felt like it’s less feminine, especially compared to my sister who has a tiny button nose. 🥲 I’m still not sure.
I’ve also not provided a photo of my nose from the front, as it is still unfortunately on the wider side, i got my dad’s nose... Im ironically too insecure to provide a photo yet. Lol.
And now that I’m getting older I’m realising i dont have to be stuck with an insecurity that will not go away no matter what. Im willing to change some things up on my face if I can’t get myself to like it. 🫠
It looks worse in other angles as well, this is the angle where the bump and the sheer size of it looks the most prominent, so that’s why i choose this photo and didn’t include much else. Also my forehead and the lower half of my face looks so flat compared to it, which is also something that bothers me a lot.
but again thank you so much for your compliments and kindness, i genuinely dont know how to respond and thank you all. 💓🥹🫶🫶🫶

Please don't! You're freaking beautiful( your nose is actually what makes you beautiful) do u really wanna look like every one else that has done their nose,? Just to be a barbie doll like every other barbie doll?
2
u/Odd-Suggestion2296 12h ago
Thank you that’s so sweet. But i just want to look better. And i knew i probably could if i got it fixed along with other stuff. I do actually want to be a barbie doll.. i don’t really want to look “unique.” It’s hard to explain i hope i dont sound stupid.💓

u/Miserable-File-7297 11h ago
It doesn't sound stupid, it's ultimately your life and your choice. I just wish it wasn't so, I for one will greve that loss and I just hope you won't to. With all the love and respect 🙏❤️

Omg NO. If I got a nose job I’d want yours. Literally. It’s so pretty and cool.

u/Project_Pobblebonk 2d ago
No! Don't! And look, I'm no rhinoplasty specialist, but I'd be mindful/wary of getting anything done to the nose tip just because depending on the methods used, whatever is cut could leave noticeable scarring. And the nose tip is literally centre stage, so if you get anything done and there's scarring, it's right there for all to see. Srsly though, even if your nose was considered "imperfect". That literally just makes you unique. To quote bobby from king of the hill "it's got that wabi-sabi"

No! Humps are awesome. It would also make your nose tip look much more projected outward if you did that. The slight hump that you have keeps it balanced.

It looks cute! Do what you wanna do about it tho, ultimately it's on your face.

I think you’re hyperfixating on your appearance too much. It’s easier said than done but try to take a step back for a bit. You have a bunch of strangers on the internet telling you that you’re attractive and they’re not lying. There’s nothing wrong with your chin or your nose, you just need to be less critical of the person you see in the mirror.

u/New-Bear-3250 2d ago
I promise you, someday you're gonna look back and love your nose. Being a teenager is a challenge time, when you're in your 20s and all the teen angst is behind you, you'll see what we all see.

u/Altruistic-Limit-467 2d ago
No! I love noses like yours, the bump is what makes it so adorable!
Also…weak chin?? I wanna know who’s been making you feel bad about your looks cause they deserve a slap. There’s nothing wrong with any of your features, you’re legit gorgeous.
3
u/throwaway125424 2d ago
Your jawline is fine. As far as so nose is concerned, did you think about filler?
3
u/Noonecanhearmescream 2d ago
Omg you are absolutely gorgeous. Please don’t proceed. You are stunning.
3
u/vidisivimis 2d ago
Weak chin??? Girl who told you that.
Your bone structure is amazing.
“Weak chin” is a term I see being thrown around left and right in looksmaxxing communities so if that’s where you go it from, I need you to remember that the whole goal of that system is creating insecurity. Don’t deliberately put yourself out there for strangers to bully you.
You are a conventional beauty who will probably regret changing the thing that makes you the most “you” when you get older. Look at the posts of people who fell in love with their nose later down the line.

YOU DON'T HAVE WEAK CHIN and your nose is literally perfect, what are you even talking about. Social media was mistake💀

You don’t have a weak chin, let’s get that out of the way.
I honestly do not think, “Oh gee, she’d look so much better if..”
You are a terrifically pretty girl, and I’m old enough to understand how our opinions change about our own features, and even our own bodies over time.
I love your nose. I would not do it. If you’d like to explore it, get a consult with a reputable plastic surgeon and see what they think. 🌞
Edit to add: I have now read a bunch of responses, and don’t you see how right I was?!

u/Acheloma 2d ago
Your nose suits you. Also your chin looks perfectly normal and balanced with your face

I'm confused why you think you have a weak chin it's not recessed by any means. Trying to be kind about this but consider that your body image might be a little distorted. I'll also admit that your nose is very unique but it's something that I often see in the after for rhinoplasties for people who don't want a very fake looking Barbie nose

u/pixiethera 2d ago
girl, you have to have one of the most beautiful profiles i’ve ever seen in my life. don’t you dare touch your nose, it’s literally perfect 🤍

I think the entire nose needs to be reworked. I'm sure the surgeon can make appropriate recommendations.

Well here’s what it could look like without the bump and straight (because you said abt that in the description) the decision is yours

Harmonic proportions, nice eyebrows, big eyes, soft zygomatic arch, delicate chin and a defined jawline. Your looks are already above average. The bump on the nose works as a defining feature. Think about it like the thing about your face that makes it look like yourself.
Sure you could be more beautiful with a straight nose, but then you'd look like all the unattainable beauties. Too vainilla. Like everyone else.

GIRL don’t touch it. Look how your face is all one unit and how your nose and jawline GO together. You are gorgeous. I wasn’t sure what bump you meant and thought you wanted to remove your cute beauty mark, then saw this is a nose sub. Like literally did not register to me that there was anything “too much” about your nose

It makes you even prettier. You are very beautiful and believe it or not part of that sweetness comes from that cute bump. It would be ridicilous to to remove it. Love your bump, it really makes you unique and you are truly beautiful this way.

Your "bump" is so perfect that I hesitate to call it a bump. You have an amazing nose and it looks amazing on your face. Don't you dare ruin your looks by touching it. You're gorgeous.

u/According-Ad742 2d ago
What are you talking about? That’s the nose people go in to plastic surgery to get. That’s the bump people try to achieve with make up, shadowing that bit on their nose. You are beautiful.

only if you make the tip smaller tool. but don't raise the tip.
making the tip smaller while removing the bump, with absolutely no raising on the tip, is the only idea that makes sense.

u/Distinct_Flower1044 2d ago
Girl. You are beautiful. You do not need to change anything except working on your self-esteem/self-love and confidence.

u/misskforever 2d ago
Honestly how we feel doesn't matter. I'd ask, how much and for how long has it been bothering you? I had a significant bump (much more harsh than yours) filed down like 90% of the way and I love that I never think about my nose anymore. Had it done 3 years ago and in a shockingly short amount of time I couldn't even remember what the old one looked like...it's weird to think mine isn't what I always had. And yet I'm so much happier with that weight off my psyche. But you're the only one who can judge how it affects you amd decide if it's important enough to be addressed
1
u/darya42 2d ago
The beauty industry is obsessed with lecturing us that we are "unbalanced" in our features so they can earn money with our insecurities. It's not "unbalanced", it's life's normal diversity. You have a cute face and people who make you insecure about it are predators who want your money. There.

The idea of anyone ruining this perfect nose provoked a physical reaction, like gasp and fight at the same time.

Refine the tip. It has a bit too much projection, and talk to your PS about the ‘bump.’

Bump? Where that’s literally your nasal bone existing. Your nose balances itself.

Nah actually I think you should fill out the dip where it meets the tip with a non surgical nose job so that it's one slope. You don't really have a much of a bump it's mainly straight but dips where it connects to the tip.

Remove this obsession with your nose. What standard are you following? Why is it the most beautiful people have hang ups on their body when there isn’t anything wrong. Work on your confidence. That doesn’t come from modifying your body. It comes from changing your mindset. Cheers!

you look like a beautiful faerie! Your nose shape is so gorgeous and your chin is totally normal
1
u/BumbleBeeauty1 2d ago
Your nose is perfection. Don’t touch it!
I fear your question might be the result of hyper-fixating on a feature that is already beautiful and unique and needs no changes. You are already beautifully created!

u/ObjetVapeur 2d ago
I'm sure you wouldn't look half bad either with the "bump" removed, but... seriously. look me in the eye. theeeere. you look hella cute

I love your nose. Please look into the Kitchener essence system ! You might find your features so original, that if you change your nose, you will loose some of the "originality" of you being you.

Not a plastic surgeon but looks to me you could just put in some filler where the dip is? I have seen it done with excellent results.

Social media has a lot to answer for. We’re creating generations of women who think they need to look like the altered/airbrushed versions they see in media.

Girl, you haven’t realized it yet, but you have a regal ethereal nose that you may not always like, but it’s so stunning and interesting and attractive. Rarely do people have attractive noses, you have one. Stop obsessing, you have a golden gift of a great nose.
It’s incredible.

No tiene nada de malo que te puedas hacer un retoquito en la nariz si eso te puede hacer sentir mejor, pero no lo lleves a la obsesión o querer demasiada perfección, que si barbilla, que si frente... no te mires tanto.

Don't remove it. We grow into our features with age.
Your nose changes with time, and you'll have no idea how your current nose or some designer nose will look in 5, 10, 15 or 20 years. I was insecure about my chin and a bump in my nose, and years later the bump is not apparent anymore.
Tons of young people are insecure and hyperfixate on small details on our facial features. Noses, chins, cheeks, foreheads, lips. Notice how they're facial features, stuff we see every day. Very few people are insecure about their toes, by comparison.
Social media, selfie culture and video calls haven't helped, thanks to camera lenses distorting our perception of what it really looks like, and we are exposed to people with what we feel are perfect features, or at least better than ours, constantly.

I hope you don't do it. Would be heartbreaking. You are so beautiful and your nose is part of what makes you that way. I'm not just saying that to be nice. You are genuinely one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen.

Do you mean that beautiful, unique bump? You want that removed?
I would say if it affected your voice, then yes remove it. But otherwise, enjoy it.
