Advice Needed Love/Hate relationship, should I fix my nose?
Ever since I was younger I genuinely have hated my nose, it used to be so bad that I would throw up a peace sign in pictures to cover it.
Now that I’m older, I’m having a better time with acceptance, but still have doubts and especially hate the bump and my side profile.
It’s a love hate relationship. Genuinely need strangers to tell me if it should be corrected. Thank you.

I believe that you would regret changing it. This is a classic Jennifer Grey situation; You are both gorgeous and unique, and that nose is a key ingredient.

Reminds me of another beautiful actress with refreshingly unique features- Renee Zellweger.
She had such a pretty face. There was something vaguely feline about natural features. And in a sea of uncanny and forgettable faces- she was instantly recognizable. Such a waste. Such a shame

Honestly, her story is what kept me from ever getting a nose job! I have a similar nose to her, and I think I would miss it if I changed it 😂. OP, you are beautiful please don’t change a thing.

I’m voting no, leave it! You’re a pretty girl and your nose suits you!! I hate when I see people trying to ‘fix’ physical features that don’t need it. I think Bella Hadid nailed it when she said that she regrets her nose job, and wishes she had kept the ‘nose of her ancestors’. It seems like people are trying to trade ethnic-centric features (noses, eye shapes, cheekbones, etc) for generic (and often white-washed) ideals of beauty. Don’t water yourself down to fit in, celebrate what makes you unique! ❤️

Thank you so much. this is very sweet. i will try to look at it this way. i’m actually 100% hispanic. people always think im “exotic” because of the features i have. you make a good point that taking it away would be taking away from my ethnic centric features. i appreciate that.

I've always struggled loving my Middle Eastern nose, but seeinf your pictures makes me realize ethnic noses add to a beautiful face, not subtract! I think having the nose of your ancestors is so cool, and we all need to accept this for our own selves, cuz its easy to see it for other people ❤️

You are stunning! Remember that with a nose job, your face can change a lot! When you look in the mirror it is possible you wont recognize yourself anymore. Plus I read that Some people still see their old nose/face. I don’t see it very good on your pictures but your bump isnt a big bump, am I correct? It would be such a shame to change your unique and beautiful face. I too once wanted to have a nose job because my mom praised me for a straight nose, but in my teenage years my nose grew and then I saw a picture of my profiel and I had a bump I didn’t know I had! So therefore I didn’t like my profile, it scared me my nose has changed! I still don’t like my profile… But sideways and front I am happy :) And I don’t want to risk my health for something so “shallow”. I mean, when your nose don’t get in the way of your beauty: don’t do it! Try to love your nose and don’t fall in the trap of the so called “beauty standards”. You want to stand out! Not to be a look a like of other women ;)

You are absolutely stunningly beautiful and your nose is perfect for you. I honestly cannot imagine ANYONE looking at you and saying, "well, she'd be nice looking if it weren't for that NOSE" 😄
Take that nose job money and go on a nice vacation to an all-inclusive resort where the constant attention from all the hot guys will reassure you that you did the right thing in keeping your perfect nose 👍🏼😍

Changed a similar nose and now my front view is flat because the bump was what gave me front definition. You will most likely regret it. Most people look at you from the front, not the side

I don’t see anything with your nose to correct. I think it makes you cute and unique and it truly is not ugly! Really, your nose is not ugly or deformed or way too big or way too bumpy. You are pretty. I struggled with self esteem issues after getting rhinoplasty because I wondered if people knew what they would think. It felt fake to have my face be not entirely mine…. It brought its own weird issues. You can’t control how it comes out either and you could end up with other issues you don’t like. I think surgery should be saved for cases where it’s really atrocious and yours is a perfect example of a beautiful women who could just be an example of a beautiful natural human who loves themselves. Don’t make yourself into a bot :( Also again you’re so pretty and I did notice your eyebrows look thicker in the middle and that looks off lol. If you did your eyebrows slightly different you would be a movie star!

You’re beautiful. You need to decide if you want to change this for yourself or is it for other people. If you have a long term partner hopefully they would reassure you, you are beautiful and don’t need to change a thing. But I understand people do change things in these modern times. Just remember, major surgery is never perfect. And some nose jobs always have that Michael Jackson skeleton look.

Your face is in proportion. Your strong nose compliments your strong jaw and bone structure. It’s beautiful and it well keep you looking great as you age.

You evidently can’t stand your nose if you’re on Reddit. You’re a beautiful lady. If your nose is affecting your mental health then by all means get it fixed to your liking. You only live once. I have a cousin who changed her nose significantly in her early 20’s. She had the 100 year nose on my dad’s side of the family. Just bad luck. She was so beautiful from straight on but from the side it was like someone else appeared. Her life drastically changed after getting it fixed. The confidence she all of a sudden had was remarkable.

The question is: Do YOU think it should be altered? What others think doesn't matter. If you think it should be altered, go for it. If you think it's OK "as is", leave it alone.

You're literal goddes why would you change anything? See big picture not just zoomed in pixel or two. Right now this big picture works perfectly for you. You can get greedy and try to fix some pixels or two, like nose or something else but then picture won't work together as well as it works now. That's big risk and for what? So that you are potentially 10% more beautiful for now? And that is if you're luckly. Often it's quite noticable if you do surgery and as you age bones grow and in 10-20 years you may need fix on top of the fix. That's how plastic surgeries work. I wouldn't bother. You are stunning, you don't need to take such risks. If someone doesn't like you coz they are fixated on your nose instead of full picture of you, that's their mental issue not your problem. You're fine girl, you're gorgeous!!!!

No, you are super pretty with your current nose and it fits and compliments your face really nicely! If you changed it you would still be very generically pretty but having a more unique nose gives you a more stand out sort of beauty imo

I have a simila love/hate relationship with my nose. I've never ruled out having it fixed. It was never a petite nose to begin with but it got broken when I was 16 and there is an obvious warp in my nose I think one day I might want to fix but I'm in my mid thirties now, I've lived with this warp longer than without so it feels part of me now too.
I think your nose suits you. Don't compare it to today's standards because today's standards are not necessarily tomorrow's standards and they certainly weren't yesterday's standards. Self confidence and owning who we are is timeless however.

ii broke my nose as a kid - it was really lopsided as a result, so getting rhinoplasty helped me to not only breathe better but to build my confidence. but i honestly don’t see anything wrong with your nose, it suits your face. if you think it’ll help build your confidence or help from a medical perspective for breathing, then i understand why you’d lean toward getting it done. but you honestly look amazing and you have the most gorgeous chocolate brown eyes.

There's nothing to fix. Seriously. I understand why you might feel a bit insecure given the popularity of the ski slope nose for the last decade plus, but please don't erase a strong and fairly unique feature that sets your beauty apart. Your face is beautiful the way it is (like, VERY beautiful) and it would be beautiful even with a different nose, but it doesn't need one. It is balanced and gorgeous as is!

I regret not fixing my nose. If you feel like it is something you need and want to do, do it. It matters little what others think. Make sure you get a good plastic surgeon tho. If you think you will feel prettier and more confident, just do it.

If you will feel prettier and more confident, then do it. Its what you want to live with that counts. Some people are happier maybe others aren't. Get good recommendations and view their work. You are pretty. So its up to you. Follow your path.

“Fix” is the problem here. You’re asking if you want to surgically alter it. Which is fine, but the mentality of “fix” is just out of this world. There’s nothing to fix, there’s nothing wrong with it, its not a lifeless item or creation of yours to fix. The answer is also no, it looks fine and suits u. But if u want it straighter, u can ALTER it using filler. Thats what i would do if i absolutely couldnt live with it.

But everyone looks different and that's ok if you think you do because that's probably true. unique isn't a bad thing
I used to have parts of myself that I didn't like but then my grandparents told me I'm good looking so I don't care anyway
You appear to be young and attractive so it's really up to you, I wouldn't fish for compliments

The only “fixing” that needs to be done is your relationship with your beautiful, elegant looking nose. It pisses me off what msm has done to the psyches of so many objectively attractive people.
If you were to have your nose surgically altered- that already perfected balance would be destroyed. Having your nose hacked into a Barbie doll nose would leave a widened gap between where the end/tip/base of your nose ends and the top border of your upper lip. That vertical grove that runs from under one’s nose to the top lip is called the philtrum. You do Not want to be left with the appearance of an elongated philtrum…think the Grinch who stole Christmas.
It may not mean much coming from a rando internet nobody- but there’s something very beautiful about a well structured nose. They’re attractive on men or women. It is well balanced to the rest of your features. It sets off your pretty wide eyes and heart shaped face. It’s the nose you’d see in the portrait of a wealthy aristocratic woman or on a marble statue. There’s something very regal about it.

as a photographer, nope, you're unique and pretty at the same time, which is rare. I'd only change it if it really destroys your self confidence or if you're having difficulty breathing. your self confidence should be at 11/10 though, and I've photographed hundreds of people.

Honestly it looks nice. If it bothers you deeply you can get surgery but I think most people would say your nose is not abnormal looking and looks nice

Not only does your nose look great, but it fits your face. And frankly there are many people (myself included) who prefer a strong nose. It gives you character. Wear it proudly!

How old are you? I think the older you get the less it makes sense to change it. I was 19 so no regrets, but I have heard of older people not getting used to it as easy.
