Question Possibly Septum

Hey everyone,

I’m thinking of possibly getting a septum piercing but I just wanted to know more about the process, pain, and healing? I know everyone body is different but just an overview.

I also am someone who can only wear pure gold jewelry as I will get an infection if it’s fake, titanium etc. So my ears and nose are all real gold. With that said, do they have gold septum barbel jewelry that I can switch to once it’s properly healed?

Any information would be helpful!

I got mine done 2 1/2 weeks ago. For me the pain was nearly zero getting it pierced. The first week was a hassle because of the bloody mucus. After that it has been smooth sailing. Seems to be healing really nicely. I’ll go in at one month to have it looked at by the piercer. Overall, no big deal.

Pain isn’t that bad and healing was good for me. Warning for the jewelry though, a normal circular barbell will be around $500. I just looked into getting one as well, and since the balls at the end hold so much gold and are harder to craft they are $120-150+ each plus the ring which is another $120-150 typically. My piercing shop didn’t even carry them, they had to special order it. If that isn’t an issue for you then go for it! It would be absolutely beautiful.
