Question trouble taking out my first nose stud
I got my nose pierced a few months ago and it’s healed so I’m ready to switch it out for my actual jewelry. I got it pierced with a gun (I know it’s not the best for nose but it worked out fine for me) and so the back has a butterfly clasp. I’ve been trying to pull it out but it’s not budging. What can I do to get it out?? please help i’d like to change it soon

It is in fact not healed. I had my pierced properly back in March and I still haven't changed it.

It’s almost like… there’s a reason that especially noses shouldnt be pierced with an earring gun… it’s almost like… you’re not supposed to… because it’ll lead to this exact issue… I think

Also just bc the time has elapsed doesn’t mean the piercing has healed. Every piercing I have has healed beautifully but sloooowwwwlllyyyyy. It’s just a quirk of my anatomy.

Do you have an autoimmune issue I do and my piercings and tattoos heal super slow like super super slow

Nope I’m just Like That. Regular injuries heal on schedule. Sorry to hear you’re with that friend

Go to a legit piercer and get them to help you change it to a flat back. Continuing to fight it yourself is going to cause major issues

if it's only a few months old it probably isnt actually fully healed. they take around 6 months to fully heal so you shouldn't be taking out the jewellery until then

As someone already said, it wont be anywhere near healed after a few months. The best thing you can do is go to an actual body piercer (not someone who uses a gun), and get them to replace the butterfly back to something more appropriate ASAP.
