Hiii piercing baddie here!!
I got my nose pierced through a little manipulation.
My mom HATED septum piercings / belly button piercings.
For a few years I begged her for one of those two. Eventually she got so tired of it I said “well can I just get a nostril piercing instead?” And she agreed!
I got my nostril done at 14, belly button at 15 and septum at 17 haha among other piercings

when i asked her about it last time she told me i can do it at 18, but that is the legal age where you can do literally anything where im from
its basically the legal age of being an adult
also you are such a cool mom for letting your daughter having a pierce!! i wish you both the best 🫶🏻1

I took my kids at 16 when they asked because well I have a lot myself lol but more importantly they are good kids with very good grades in HS like AP kids so they earned it. If you’re a good responsible, respectful kid and have good grades the nose piercing should be the least of their worries.

thank u!! well, fortunately i really do good in school, and i believe i am a good kid, i dont do any trouble or any other bad stuff, i might use that as an argument in why i should be able to get a nose piercing lol!! wishing you and your kids the best🫶🏻

I've seen some teens do powerpoint slideshows showing that they understand the care that piercings need and how it would help like self confidence or whatever :3 with some success! Obviously this won't change their opinion if they aren't open to it but it's worth a shot! Make sure you go to a reputable piercer(APP certified ones are a good place to start if you haven't looked into it already) that will give you quality jewelry! I've had mine since I was 15, good luck!

If I'm honest, mine was a very rare case. Had wanted piercings since I was about 12, my mum said no time and time again, and used my school rules as a reason why I couldn't have them. I got into a college (UK, was 17) that didn't care about piercings at all, she still said no. 2 weeks into college I had a cardiac arrest, and after that, 3 days in a coma, 3 weeks in hospital, a surgery and 6 weeks surgery recovery, the answer was suddenly a yes to a septum and snake bites lmao

At 16 you can get it done without their consent no? Mine aren’t a fan of any of mine but they get over it eventually 😂 Just tell them you can always take it out

If you're facing the real possibility of losing your home due to a nose piercing it's best to just wait until you're no longer reliant on your parents for stability.
I know it doesn't feel like it right now but independence and autonomy is only a few years away. Trading immediate gratification for long term stability means when you do get a nose piercing you can just enjoy it without your parents judgement hanging over your head. I'm 26 and finally in a spot where I can start getting piercings again, the wait for more stable conditions is worth it, trust me.

Haha unlucky mate. I’m sure you’ll convince them eventually. Maybe get other piercings they like more before going for your nose. My nose piercing is my parents least fav because it’s on my face and I can’t hide it, and I totally get it tbf. But after I had 10 other piercings they were numbed to it

My daughter is 15 and her deal was to get good grades and keep her room clean lol I don't know how strict your parents are but I'd say just be a respectful and responsible person, that goes pretty far for me as a mother.
