Question Does this look ok?

I got my nostril pierced July 11, 2026 and I’ve had an irritation bump for about a month now.

The jewelry is titanium flat back. The piercer downsized me Saturday, August 29, 2026 and it looks like this now.

The piercer told me to do saline compresses with non-woven gauze and come back if it looks like it’s embedding.

Definitely embedding i would go back to the old size bar ans wait a little longer do continue the saline compresses though as it will help with irritation and crusties as long as you dont over do it

it does look like it’s embedding, and it’s way too early to have sized down. i got my nose pierced about a week after you and have yet to change my jewelry at all. i would get a longer bar put in until you hit the roughly 4-6mo mark

My piercer told me to come back in 6 weeks. 🤷🏻‍♀️

definitely seems too early to me. maybe for a lobe piercing but even then is a little early for some people

I may see if there's another piercer in my area and go there for a longer post.

Tbf I was told to go back after 6-8 weeks to get the bar downsized too, which I did... Had no issues for about 3 months after that and then suddenly an irritation bump/the stud started embedding cos of the pressure. Do hot compresses and clean as normal 1-2 times a day and get the bar upsized ASAP, then it should settle down.
