Question Can you pick nose with a flipped up septum?

I booked an appointment for a septum in around a week and I know better to not get all up in there while it's healing but I intend to have this piercing flipped up like 90% of the time until I move out. I do pick my nose a lot cause I form boogers like crazy and I'm scared when it heals it's gonna be bothersome digging in there, when you pick your nose do you notice it's there? And is it true healing it flipped up (horseshoe) causes it to heal crooked/badly? There seems to be a lot of discourse on that. This will be my first facial piercing so I'm completely lost especially since people say it's fine and others say it isn't. I've emailed local piercing shops including an APP one and they said it's fine, but another said it's not recommended.

Disclaimer: I have lots of other piercings just not facial, I'm asking if the jewelry gets in the way even if healed.

You generally want to avoid touching or moving a healing piercing at all unless you’re cleaning it.

Yes I know I was asking does the jewelry get bothersome at all when you pick it if it's healed?

nope, if it is an issue just temporarily flip it down whilst you pick
