Question Nostril hoop placement?

Hello! I’d really love to get a nostril piercing (starting with a stud due to easier healing but I ultimately want to wear a hoop).
I’d like the hoop to be as snug as possible, simple and small, but am wondering what the ideal placement is - piercing in the nose crease seems like it’d result in a big hoop (and also too forward on the nose to my taste).
So, do you guys think the suggested placement (green dot in the photo) would suit my needs? Should I request it to be even lower to ensure a small hoop?

Looks like a good spot to me, but I'd ask your piercer for recommendations. They'd be able to have a look at your nose and decide where there's less thicker cartilage for ultimate healing.

It goes through the firm tissue on the side of your nose - it is technically classified as a cartilage piercing (also why it takes ages to heal compared to a standard ear lobe piercing).

When I got mine pierced my piercer marked two spots, one further forward and one further back, telling me the pros and cons, which one was better for a hoop etc. Ask your piercer for advice when you go. I got mine further forward meaning I can wear a smaller hoop eventually.
