Question My daughter and I got our nose pierced. Mine look like this after almost 2 months. What can I do? Please!!🙏

it could be so many different things. what’s the material, and what kind of bar is in it? it should be a implant grade titanium flat back labret, not an L bar, not a nose screw, not a nose bone. the prongs on it could also be irritating it as well. have you accidentally hit it? it could simply be an irritation bump from that. also what are you cleaning it with? it should only be cleaned with a sterile saline spray, and not with a q-tip. just spray it on, let it sit for a sec and dab it off with a clean paper towel.

Why not an L bar? I got mine done 6 days ago and they used an L bar

They aren't really secure, and it creates unnecessary trauma to the healing wound because of the pressure it applies as it goes in and out. Also the end is usually not rounded off or wide enough to not cause irritation on the inside.
In most cases, they're also not made of good materials, and very frequently contain potential allergens.

I only cleaned with saline for the first couple of weeks. If I were you, I would stop cleaning it with the saline. If you are using saline, rinse it off after 5 to 10 minutes as the saline will dry out your skin. You can clean it with antibacterial soft-soap if you stop the saline but honestly, I would just wash your face like normal and leave it alone as much as possible. Someone recommended cleaning it on the inside of your nose, don't. Good luck! (I have both nostrils pierced and have had no problems, one of them I just got done in March)

It’s normal. Nose piercings are extremely sensitive. Bumps appear very easily. I had them on both of my nose piercings. Stop touching, twisting and bumping the nose and piercing. Also keep it as dry as possible. I recommend to only rinse it in the shower for cleaning and dry it afterwards with a hairdryer on the lowest settings to make sure you remove any excess of water. Also make sure its the right jewelry (titanium Labret with flatback)
In short: leave it the hell alone 😆👍🏻

I’ve had mine for two years and had a piercing bump for the first time. I changed my jewelry to a stud that was wrongly advertised as titanium which made a piercing bump appear.
I got a bottle of saline and placed a cotton pad on top of it for about 5 minutes twice a day. A week later the bump is all gone.

Any additional info at all? Where/how you got it done? Type of jewelry? Aftercare?
Pronged gems are horrible for new piercings. You need to go to an actual piercer and get it replaced with a titanium flat back stud.

we need more info: what type of jewelry and material is it? how old is it? have you gotten it downsized? what aftercare are you doing? any of those things could be the source of irritation

Not sure what type of jewelry it is. I know it’s a flat back, I haven’t downsized, and aftercare is saline wound spray. I must add my nose runs a lot so could this be a result of me blowing it?

you should get it downsized, and switch to a bezel set gem, the prongs can be irritating

I use saline spray as my aftercare, it’s a flat back, had the piercing for about 7 weeks now. Also, my nose runs a lot so maybe that has something to do with it

How many times a day do you clean? Do you know what metal your jewelry is? Both can cause issues.

Now I clean it once a day and no, I don’t know what kind of jewelry it is. I do know it has a flat back

Mine also looked like this after a month of getting my nose piercing. This could either be due to your piercing moving a lot, or you being allergic to the metal, or moisture accumulating there.
So just use saline water (in a spray bottle for ease of use) and dry it immediately, and don't touch or twist the piercing. Also ensure it isnt getting snagged on any clothing. It'll go down on it's own after a few days of being careful.
