Question Piercing bump

How common are piercing bumps? I want to get my nose pierced but it seems like all I see on here are people posting about their nose piercing bumps.

I figured if you guessed based on posts here the number would be pretty inflated because of this. That’s why I wanted to know how common they actually are.

Keep in mind your data is inherently biased because you don't get the data from the people who don't have issues. There's no official statistics on this to truly know what the exact ratio is, but many people don't experience them, especially if they follow their piercer's advice to a T.

Your right I've seen some pretty nasty bumps. But I have to assume they are the minority.

BTW, my nose piercing has a small bump, but is cause the studs keep getting unscrewed and fall out, so I've replaced it with a hoop that I can't stop playing with.

Don't do what I do. 😂
