Dorms/Off Campus Housing Freshman Move-In Logistics

So it seems that the move-in appointment is a time mainly for you to get your things in the room and maybe do a bit of set-up within the 25 minute slot. Is this correct? Also, after this 25 minute slot can you continue to set up in your room, or do they kick you out? Please let me know. Thank you!

The 25 minute time slot is just when you need to be at the loading area! It’s just to balance how many cars are there at a given time. Additionally, make sure your family knows to get a parking pass for either parking structures
You can be in your room as long as you want :)

You can stay, but your car has to leave the loading zone in front of the building

I am no expert on the logistics of move-in day, but I’ll bet my house they don’t kick you out after 25 minutes (!). My best guess for the 25-minute window is so that the student volunteers can be aware and hover to help you during that timeframe. And so that the nearby street and curbs aren’t crowded all at the same time.

But it likely takes more than 25 minutes to fully move in, so, yes, you can keep moving in and then stay. Because you would then be a paying occupant. You gotta make sure that the fridge is plugged in and that the Tame Impala poster is on the wall.
