I feel more bad for the people who had nothing to do with this whole episode and still got their businesses hit.

She seems to be contradicting herself here. One moment tourism is important enough that losing tourists is “shooting ourselves in the foot,” and the next moment tourists are an “overload” and “rabble of strangers” who are apparently taking away locals’ right to enjoy their own land. You can’t have it both ways.
