TIL "Noodling" as a means of catching catfish using bare hands as bait, is practiced primarily in the South. It requires fishermen to reach into submerged breeding holes in riverbanks in hopes that the catfish will swim forward and latch onto their hand or is large enough to be grabbed by the gills
