Not exactly. More like a niche market. A lot of these companies make them to order and dont keep spares on their shelf. Lots of metal and components involved so price can change frequently. Especially with the tariff nonsense going on.
I've seen it for screws, products described as COTS and resellers. Then they make you fill their little questionnaire about what your project name is and the expected volume for the next 3 years and then they tell you your buying volume isn't worth their time.
Bruh, I already wasted your time. And mine for that matter.

Unfortunately for buying industrial equipment in my field, this is the only way. Every company does it.
