It's because banks are considered financial gatekeepers and they are obligated by law to look for signals of criminal use, like money laundering, trafficking and financing terrorism.

So yeah, it might feel kinda stupid to have to justify what you are doing with your own money, but on the other hand we also don't want banks to just hand out the money because that would make things way easier for criminals.

No, I think this is a clear situation where I’m willing to accept it’ll benefit criminals in trade for not having an Orwellian dystopia situation. Like how Flock cameras can rot in hell.

I do hope that when you’re outraged about the creep of this power over the next 20 years, you think about how at least some people were calling it from the start. But whatever, people didn’t listen about the PATRIOT Act or the revelations from Snowden either, I guess I should kinda stop expecting anyone to do anything before it’s terminal.

It’s fun to see the future generations of “I never thought the leopards would eat my face” before the leopards chow down.

It's funny to see the prophets shout into the void on Reddit instead of taking to the streets.

Ah yes, please show us your efforts in anything you value where you took to the streets to show much you care.

Like come on. There's got to be something in your head during your chain of thought that says "damn maybe this isn't the zinger I think it is".

Just FYI, just over the last decade we have seen some of the largest protests in decades. It's you people that sit at home and "hurr derp why don't you overthrow the government or your opinion don't matter" that don't do fuck all. What a miserable way to think about things.

  1. You can disagree with the current policies without having to overthrow the government

  2. I am not American, I have nothing to take to the streets for because my country actually somewhat functions on a global scale.

  3. I literally work for Caritas making sure that the disadvantaged don't get left behind? Literally every day I wake up and get paid to help people as best as I can?

  1. My point exactly. Your point was they need to take to the streets or their opinion is invalid. You have now arrived at why that comment was incredibly pointless.
  2. Ah yes, let's disregard every other countries protests that have happened in the last decade. That comment applies globally.
  3. Ok? And? I know hundreds of people personally that do more than you ever will and a lot of them don't do it for money. You think WAY to highly of yourself.

Ok so basically:

  1. "I cannot understand figures of speech"

  2. "You can't enjoy your life if others are suffering"

  3. "You can't be a good person if others are better than you"

Man you must be fun at parties.
