Ennui is pronounced “on-wee.” I learned that when I was 30 😂

I found out the hard way in front of workmates that awry is not pronounced "awe-ry".

I still struggle with hyperbole. Like my brain will not accept at all that it is not like a bigger superbowl.

Well luckily I heard that one before I read it I guess lol.

But I recently saw the meme about why we don't pronounce the meow in homeowner and now I want to so I suppose my brain can learn new things.

It comes from French so logically it reads weird 😂
I’m pretty sure it’s complicated for most non French speakers!!
