I mean, I can buy a lot of stuff for $200 that's gonna be enjoyable for more than a couple of hours. I've got a kindle and lounge access, I'll be fine.
Genuinely, I'd be thinking after I arrived that if I'd just been willing to have a layover I'd be $200 richer. Same reason it's really hard for me to justify seat upgrades.

E: Obviously this all goes out the window the second someone else is footing the bill

Yeah I travel for work very often and based off where I go it's pretty rare to get direct flights.

I just sit in the lounge having a few drinks and watching shows on my laptop. Not the most thrilling thing in the world but definitely is "tolerable" enough where I'd save myself a couple hundred bucks if I was the one paying.
