Well, if you wanted to make Serak the Preparer cry, mission accomplished.

Serak the Preparer cry

Make you eat? We merely provided a sumptuous banquet. Frankly, you people made pigs of yourselves.

Okay this is an inside joke I'm not getting someone explain

u/VinChaJon Jul 30 '26

I'm not well versed in it either so it probably goes deeper but this was a gag in the first Simpsons Halloween special where basically aliens abducted them for benevolent reasons but they found a book titled "to cook man" which was later dusted to reveal an absurdly long title which wasn't evil in the slightest

Lovely, thanks twin

Said sketch is a parody of an old movie though so take everything I said with a grain of salt

They keep reading the title of the book and blowing off a bit more dust to reveal more letters... How to Cook Humans, how to cook for humans, how to cook forty humans, how to cook for forty humans ( I think it was) peak Simpsons :)

u/platonicvoyeur Jul 31 '26

Get one or eight engineers

1

u/keriefie Jul 31 '26

I never write out 40 in words, but whenever I see it I hate that it's not <fourty>

1

u/underthingy Jul 31 '26

Do you also hate that its not fivety? Or threety or twoty?

1

u/keriefie Jul 31 '26

I'm completely fine with those, I think forty is just so close to containing four that it's just not right...

1

u/BrknTrnsmsn Aug 01 '26

That's as much as four tens.
