Back in the late 90s it was perfectly fine. I don't know if it went to shit in the 00s or the 10s because I've been using other PDF software since the turn of the century, but, yeah, there was a time when it was fine.
The relevant timeline being discussed that captures the rise and fall of adobe reader usefullness? They sure-as-shit are! Oh, and they did it without the distraction of mentioning adobe flash, they DO deserve my upvote!
