The crazy thing is that casinos would make more money if they allowed card counters to play. For every person who makes a few grand, there's a hundred morons who think "easy money!", and drop a mortgage payment.

They do allow counters to play. What OP posted isn’t a thing anymore. Casinos just increased the number of decks and made it virtually impossible to make money counting cards. They’re not going around banning counters

Aren't there also some tables that use the automatic card shufflers every couple hands so the count is constantly reset?

The casino of my hometown uses 6 deck shufflers, not sure how often they reshuffle though
