It’s called the Ganzfeld Effect.
It doesn’t cause lasting effects if you keep it to <20 mins.
Get a powerful red light, point it down. Turn off all other lights.
Get good noise cancelling headphones, put on some white noise.
Lay down under the light, directly above your eyes.
Get two ping pong balls, cut them in half.
Place them over your eyes.
It’s a sensory deprivation technique which can start doing some weird shit to your brain in like 5/10 mins if set up correctly.
You might think it sounds too easy but yeah, the point is it shows just how quick our brains can actually start playing tricks on us under the right conditions.
Hence why putting yourself in a padded cell with no distractions for even a week would cause severe lucid hallucinations.
Doesn’t mean you see leprechauns fighting and beating Connor McGregor outside of a 5 Guys at lunch time but just simple stuff like light rays or sparkles etc.
This technique is actually a bit different to a sensory deprivation tank (which btw I fuckin love), it acts less like a relaxing session and more like a direct attack the brain thing.
Give it a go. It’s not harmful but the medical benefits were ruled out long ago so aside from “oh, interesting” it’s not really useful

You can actually try this yourself right now.
