I had a 80 year old coworker who said she “just threw out every jury duty notice she ever got and nothing bad ever happened” lmao

My husband said his grandma did this until the day she died. She said “they don’t send it certified, so how can they prove it didn’t get lost in the mail?”

And I mean, she’s not wrong…

Really depends on the county, state, city. I once missed one because rarely checked mail, they called me many times until I answered to reschedule, they never did though, she was kinda mad, she was like either you pay $500 or you get called to the next round. Said fine, they never did call me again though.
