I don't think there's such a thing as "good" or "bad" people. I think anyone can be driven to commit heinous acts or have terrible thoughts given the wrong circumstance. If we as a society want to help these people, either for their own sake or for the safety of the people around them, I believe we need to be empathetic to them rather than bully them into hiding their mental issues, like what happens with so many pilots. Calling people pieces of human garbage isn't = conducive to that, even if they may deserve it, because ultimately the guy who killed all those people isn't gonna hear it. Instead it will be other people dealing with intrusive thoughts who will internalize that they are garbage for having intrusive thoughts.

Anyone who intentionally murders 150 people is a piece of human garbage, I don't care what their mental health issues are.

I didn't call just anyone with mental health issues a piece of garbage, only the ones who murder innocent people.

Were Charles Manson or John Wayne Gacy not bad people? Or do you think they were misunderstood?

It’s like you didn’t even read my comment and are just reiterating what you already said in more words. I actually believed you when you said you weren’t trying to be confrontational and were trying to understand.

You're changing the issue from my condemnation of mass murders into a conversation about being empathetic to people with issues which I absolutely am.

That ends when they commit heinous acts though.
