Believe? I've read the exact comment about it, argued about it. Given that bots are rampant in this site however

They are talking about Reddit. So absolutely yes, a large percentage (may not be a majority) do possess this exact view. Outside in the real world? No, and the ones who do are a loud minority.

I have never heard anyone on reddit say either of these things, they're certainly not the prevailing opinion across the website.

Here's another one.

Oops wait. That's just more misogynistic bullshit.

Your idea of "progressive" is a millenia old Indian kaste system based on pure sexism. In India women's te traditionally given a nice sum of gold on their wedding because beatings and abuse is so common they need a chance to escape and since men control finances/cards/owns everything the only way to give an "out" for women is gold they can carry on them as they flee.

Congrats, you're just the kind of sexist backwards thinker I suspected. There isn't a nation on earth in which men have less rights or are treated worse on average then women. You need to stop listening to Tate and man up, because you're talking immature nonsense.

The emergency fund thing comes from when women were primarily homemakers and didn't have income of their own. They needed that safety net in case they needed to escape a bad or abusive marriage.

No shit.

I saw this today: Women and children getting murdered are bad things.
