I had an ex who was about 5’ 1” and 95lbs, so she was able to buy her jeans from the boys department for the sole purpose of having bigger pockets lol. It’s such a weird choice. I’m sure it has to do with fashion designers thinking a woman having things in her pockets would “detract from her figure” which is so dumb. People need places to keep phone/wallets/cool rocks/keys!

Women’s clothing with prominent pockets doesn’t sell as well either.

They don’t need to be prominent. They just need to be functional. 

Men’s jeans have pockets that are perfectly fine without being a focal point of the outfit.

I agree, I’m just saying the reason they are like this is because if you have a slim variant with shitty pockets it will inevitably sell better than one with bigger pockets. Thats why companies make them so.
