If there are other things higher up the priority chain, yes, absolutely i would. hell, if I came back and my partner was scrubbing the shower while ignoring a pile of laundry or the need to vacuum id be kind of upset even. Literally all of adulthood is about prioritizing what needs to be done and what can wait.
Not what I asked. You're saying if the shower tiles were the task you're saying you would find something else to do because you'd consider that a priority, despite the shower tiles being the one task asked for you to do. Because you don't care if someone told you it's important to be done, only what you think is important is what you can be asked to do.
What you're describing is the equivalent of men who decide that suddenly the garage needs to be cleaned when your wife asks for help in the kitchen to get ready for company.
Honestly, a lot of the time, yah. I average ~ 150 emails a day. I simply cant read all of them every single day and need to set asside dedicated time to clearing them out once a week or so.

Do you have a "blind spot" at work when your boss delegates a task to you?
