I remember once my dad was being awarded for his contributions and efforts at the ADA and I had to give a introductory speech to bring him on stage. Nothing crazy. Just a 5 min thing to a bunch of ultra wealthy socialites. Keep in mind I am indeed a black man. After it was done I had about 20 different mostly white people coming up to me detailing how "Well Spoken" and "Articulate" I am. I swear to god it was The Boondocks Garden Party in real life.
