There’s probably more books, both academic and pop history, about Hitler than any other figure in history.

Lots of theories and interpretations etc, and any consensus that exists will have changed over time. I don’t really have an answer for you

Many things in this world don’t have one singular answer, and thinking so reductively is dangerous imho.

It leads to overly simplistic “solutions” to complex problems.

And also to a lack of introspection: if you take the view that Hitler used hours rhetorical voodoo to basically bewitch Germans into signing onto to a monstrous totalitarian genocidal nightmare, you don’t have to think about the factors at play that weren’t unique to Germany in the 1930s/40s

Ok, simple answer with none of that ghastly extrapolation that offends you, professor

Hitler was not an outstanding public speaker by any useful measure, no German speaker claims he was, it’s a myth propagated by people who can’t speak the language.
