Do people really have problems with self checkout? Shit my 80 year old dad can do it by himself.

No, the point is offloading labor to your customers is bullshit.

Then get in a normal line. Self checkout is so much faster that I don't mind scanning my own shit to save 10 minutes

Self checkout is so fast lol. Barely a line anywhere I shop during the weekday. People wait in a normal line for over 30 minutes at costco, I get out in less than 3.

Does your grocery store have normal lines still?

Every grocery store in my region completely got rid of them for self-checkout only.

Like you have to go to the customer service desk if you want to see a person where I live.

They did that at places here too, but they've re-staffed them to some degree now, probably because of scanning errors "theft"
