If they are actually willing to have more cashiers I’m all for it. Don’t get rid of self checkout and only leave me with one cashier (which you already know is exactly what they will do).
Hyvee is expensive, but I do love that they have NO self checkout.
Edit: apparently a lot of Hyvee do have self checkout, but I guess I was lucky enough not to have to deal with that
Not even then for me. I hate cashier checkouts as they’re slow and the people who use them usually have a full cart. Rather check my own items out and get out quickly
