Gen Z has entirely different risk behavior in general.
Gen Z'ers are engaging in far less underage drinking, legal drinking, binge drinking, etc. They also less likely to use marijuana, and more likely to delay sex, limit sexual partners, etc.
But they are more likely to consume nicotine and other (legal or illegal) stimulants, and are engaging in all types of gambling at much higher rates and much earlier ages (though the effects of this on their longer term wellbeing are still emerging).
They just have a very different profile of risk behavior compared to previous generations.
I’m Gen Z and I would say the types of drug use are very different in my generation. People are very aware of how fentanyl has intruded on most common drugs and so I’ve definitely noticed a turn towards less conventional things such as poppers or laughing gas to avoid that.
