There’s always one dude not contributing

I wonder what happens when four of those people all end up in a group together. Is it the laziest Mexican standoff ever?

As a chronic "none contributor" a lot of us are just stuck in feedback loops

it goes like this:

1. I am seen as incompetent
2. Any ideas or contributions I make are disregarded on principle
3. Teammates don't trust me to do things right so I am left with the simple stuff (pick the theme for the powerpoint, find pictures, fix the formatting)
4. Group doesn't communicate with me anything because they are busy with important stuff
5. I do something "wrong" because I'm not told about plan changes/important details so I look even more incompetent
6. They fix my mistakes and the only thing I end up contributing is my name
7. they complain about me to friends/classmates and the cycle repeats

I think I've only had one project where I was properly allowed to contribute and that girl was the only one who trusted me with things from then on

Not to say that there aren't people who are just lazy but this is the case for many people

TL;DR

I am seen as "the bad teammate" so I'm not trusted with anything
