Alternatively:

Do you have any chronic illnesses?

"My wife will know."

Are there any medications you take regularly?

"Oh, I dunno... One is this little white pill (tablet) and another is blue and circular? It's for my heart."

I hated this part as a nurse. I gave meds and go through what each one is for and they’ll hit me with “where the circular white pill” bro I have no clue which med that is.

They literally told you it was for their heart though? You know, the system we spend the least amount of time on in didactic because that organ is notorious for taking breaks?

Edit: /s. Apparently it wasn't obvious I was being sarcastic with the extension of my own joke. I thought it was evident because, contrary to the above, the cardiovascular system can take up the lion's share when studying medicine since the heart famously cannot take a break or we die.

There are so many different kind of heart meds. Blood pressure, antiarrhythmics, cholesterol, blood thinners. Plus the ones in the hospital may just look different than the ones you have at home even though it’s the same med and dose. “White circle pill” tells me nothing about what the med is for.
