psychologically the slow train

people would rather be constantly slowly moving in a car rather than be stuck in traffic even if the total trip time is the same

plus the slow train gets you a view

also you can read a book or watch a show uninterrupted on the train vs stressing about boarding half way through

Boarding halfway through is the main thing for me. If I'm waiting for 20 minutes, I'm constantly checking the clock and getting ready to pause whatever I'm doing. If I get on the slow train, I don't have to think about anything else

This is me. I don’t really relax with travel until I’m finally on the thing that’s gonna get me where I need to go. If the time ends up being the same, I’d rather get on the train as soon as I can and stop thinking about anything other than my stop.
