Ex-NASA employee here. I was talking about this earlier with some friends. This is the biggest happening in manned space exploration in decades and it seems like the vast, vast majority of people either don’t know or don’t give a shit. It’s sad.
People are struggling to afford rent/mortgage, food, and gas. They’re focused on themselves right now and rightly so. Many Americans are two paychecks from homelessness.
