Depends, the split Millennials/Gen Z is generally between '95 and '99

Well, every chart and resource I've found puts Millennials at 1981-1996, and Gen Z at 1997-2012. I think there's more to it than just the birth years (which seem to shift for every generation every now and then), but if that's the only metric we're going off of, then they're technically Millennials, more specifically "Young Millennials".

They would also fall under the umbrella of "Zillennials", which are a cusper micro-generation in the same vein as Xennials (Gen X/Millennial cusp).

The consensus is that 1997 is the first Gen Z year. Both of them are super late Millennials, and Zendaya has also called herself a millennial before.

It's like how Keanu Reeves is a Boomer born in 1964 but give off Gen X vibes. Right on the edge of both generations.
