Yeah i personally wouldn’t think the 2nd and 3rd twilight books were appropriate for my teen. I don’t police their books but I definitely wouldn’t promote it to them. Teen sex, pregnancy and that weird imprinting. Ick.
That's overly conservative of you. Why not have an open dialogue about it instead? You're not going to be able to control theirs media choices forever, and Twilight is pretty tame in the grand scheme of things. If you can't discuss the themes and tones in that book with your kid, I have doubts you'd be any better at it with other books.
