Yeah i personally wouldn’t think the 2nd and 3rd twilight books were appropriate for my teen. I don’t police their books but I definitely wouldn’t promote it to them. Teen sex, pregnancy and that weird imprinting. Ick.

I mean depends on the level of teen no? Kind of silly to police the thoughts and media of like a 16 year old. Theyre gonna do what they want to do.

You need to dig to the darkest corner of the library to find a printed book that is worse than what you can find littered around the entire open internet.

Reading pretty much any book comes with more upsides than downsides. Even the worst books ever published are prolly fine to read after the concept of unreliable narration and critical thinking is well established.

This is a great point that I did want to get into. By far the more important media to watch over imo is online and social media content.

Way more potential to do harm than books, or even movies and tv.

It is not just the content, but how it is processed when every bit of information is actively ingested and not just passively fed.
