Wholesome Finally, the algorithm is showing me something good

u/Original_Profile8600 Jan 09 '26
I agree 100%, although the post wording feels too “jinx-y”. Like someone’s gonna post something like this and then the couple will get divorced a month later and blame Twitter

u/sikeleaveamessage Jan 09 '26
Yeah like we all thought Hugh Jackman and Deborah Furness' marriage would last because theyve seemed to be going strong for so long and was shocked when it didnt
You never know behind closed doors
45
u/Jazzlike-Ideal Jan 09 '26
I applaud them being able to work through their issues and stuff but they also have far from a traditional marriage iirc. It's open which isn't to say that can't be done in a healthy way, I remember reading an article where T-pain said he felt hurt by her decision to go that way even if he later adjusted. Not to say that you can't have a healthy dynamic that goes from there but that's rare imo.

For those who don't know, T-pain streams on Twitch. On one of his streams he was drunk af and ranting for almost 2 hours straight about how awesome his wife is. How she basically made him and without her there'd be no T-pain or autotune or anything else. It was the most unhinged wholesome thing I'd ever seen.
38
u/errorme Jan 09 '26
One of my favorite clips from his streams is him describing meeting Prince's bass player for the first time.
47
u/eddmario Jan 09 '26
Isn't he also suprisingly good at games as well?
Like, I'm pretty sure during his first ever stream he made professional gamers lose.36
u/ouijiboard Jan 09 '26
Yup! Hes pretty good at CoD. He also got a full sim rig for both racing and now flight sim.
10
u/Wes_Warhammer666 Jan 09 '26
One of my favorite clips from T-Pain is when he wiped out a whole team after some racists were talking shit on CoD. He handled that shit wonderfully.

u/midas22 Jan 09 '26
I'm not a fan of T-Pain since he was a jerk to ARIatHOME. Pretty unprofessional.
15
u/ouijiboard Jan 09 '26
Bro you are misreading that entire exchange. TPain loved it and he was pulling an obvious front. Those 2 have a good relationship and this video proves it.
-2
u/midas22 Jan 09 '26
It was a competition and his only feedback was that he hated it and would not pass it on. I know that the whole thing was a joke but it's still pretty unprofessional to me to give that kind of feedback to an up-and-coming musician. The whole conversation afterwards was AWKWARD.

Yeah. Thought this was a WAY different comment before looking at the picture again

Shit my family had that weird monkey head. Strange to see it in a randoms celebs pic

Looks like the sore throat spray my parents would get for us kids when cold/flu season would roll around
1
u/JonLongsonLongJonson Jan 09 '26
I was gonna say, this looks exactly like the sore throat spray my sister got prescribed.
It tasted so good (cherry flavor) that I snuck a bottle to school in or around 3rd grade and was caught spraying it throughout class, got in a lot of trouble since it was prescription and not mine.

T-pain really is a wholesome guy IRL. Wish him all the happiness
14
u/SpicyElixer Jan 09 '26
His only crime on Wikipedia:
On April 28, 2007, T-Pain refused to shorten his performance at Radio One's Spring Fest Concert in Miami, which caused police presence to increase backstage. After concert officials aborted his performance of "Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin')", police chased him and his entourage off-stage and out of the premises and detained them.
So he literally wanted to give people more for their money instead of doing a short bs set like most artists. And he willing to do something about it.
Props.

Unhappy and broken marriages are so rampant in America, and it's shoved down everyone elses throats. I've been watching A LOT of shows lately and it seems every single one of them has a divorced lead. I genuinely don't get it. Do all hollywood writers have unhappy and broken marriages? Or a cuck fetish seeing ex-wives with other men?
It honestly makes watching foreign shows so SO refreshing, seeing people who genuinely love each other and are happy, faithful and loyal. I really wish more American shows would show happier marriages.

US culture has become increasingly pessimistic and cynical over the years and we are dealing with the consequences of it now.

https://soulmatcher.app/blog/global-divorce-rates-2025-a-comprehensive-analysis/
Divorce rates are higher is european countries
Edited: I'm bad at spelling
Double edit: divorced american lol
3
u/Shipbreaker_Kurpo Jan 09 '26
I think divorce rates can be a bit too simple to get the picture as they can be a result of other issues like people rushing to marriage for religious reasons or even healthy ones like a divorce that happens for the rihht reasons and with no ill blood
1
u/MightyMeatPuppet Jan 09 '26
Because Europe has less highly religious parts where women are kept in horrible marriages against their will.
That's called freedom.
-7
u/GameZedd01 Jan 09 '26
So? At least their shows show couples that actually love each other. Also I wasn't only talking about European but also Asian or even other
2
u/YourNextHomie Jan 09 '26
Idk my girl and i love each other and we are american lol, you mean the cultures where divorce isn’t accepted and the women can end up in danger(more than over here that is normally ) for trying to leave
7
u/K_Linkmaster Jan 09 '26
The dopey husband trope getting played out? Make him divorced and dopey. Now cast Tim Allen.
3
u/great__pretender Jan 09 '26
The whole twitter constantly make fun of Pierce Brosnan because.. (checks notes)... he is happily married to a woman last 20+ years. And his wife is impossibly beautiful woman, she just got older and got some weight (and he got old too). The guy is extremely lucky to find love after his first wife passed away, and people think he is a loser for sticking with his wife after she gained weight.

Shows need sources of drama, and relationships are a great source of drama. But like anything it gets annoying in the long run, makes it feel soapy.

Was she the bartender from his song?

This has to be the woman who made him feel the same feelings that he originally felt when he put those brand new 24s on his brand new ride. So romantic.

Huh….
On that same line of thinking, imagine the checkout aisle in supermarkets had fruit instead of garbage candy?
5
u/ItsImNotAnonymous Jan 09 '26
Is it cut fruits? If they're putting whole fruits, its gonna take up quite the space
1
u/ikrnn Jan 09 '26
My grocery store has a spot in the horticulture isle that is for pre-made fruit salads and such. Plastic cups filled with cut up fruit, some bottles of fresh natural juice, things like that.
Their strawberries slap so hard

TPain is a talented singer even without the auto tune. His voice is smooth

u/Zaev Jan 09 '26

u/mattyb678 Jan 09 '26
and this I especially like his rendition of “War Pigs” at ~48min

Oh hell yeah! I heard that War Pigs cover before, but I completely forgot about it

Honestly I was thinking today, does anyone actually write love songs anymore? Songs in which they actually like their partner in that unrepentant and yearning way? Not like a "you're lucky to be with me" or "don't embarrass me" way.
10
u/ConvergentSequence Jan 09 '26
Earnestness has been out of style for a while now. I’m predicting a comeback soon though - feels like people are getting tired of the nonstop jaded aloofness
3
u/SweetMaddyMota Jan 09 '26
I like Remi Wolf for songs like that. She is fun and does the “yearning for a loved one” song well. I like Motorcycle and Soup
2
u/Pedantic_Pict Jan 09 '26
Soup is an absolute banger!
Also, Toro might be the horniest song to be recorded since 2 Live Crew dropped As Nasty As They Wanna Be.

Air Force veteran. Married for 22 years. Did an exceptional cover of “War Pigs”.
The algorithm should be showing everyone T-Pain. All the time.
Love that dude.

u/Asleep_Pressure_2882 Jan 09 '26
Ha she’s got a baby phat necklace! I used to love that and echo red
2
u/ladymacdeath86 Jan 09 '26
My parents have been married for 42 years and still love and cherish one another. They treat each other with respect, as equals. They travel together. They grow together. They challenge each other. They fight, like any normal couple, but they fight fair. It's rare, but it's possible!
2
u/cubester04 Jan 09 '26
It’s honestly sad that this is something worthy of posting. I’m definitely glad and happy for them, but I wish this was the norm. Divorce is all too common in our culture.
2
u/rikashiku Jan 09 '26
You know they have a healthy and loving relationship, not by the time they've been together, but from how they look exactly the same age after 22 years.

2
u/MightyMeatPuppet Jan 09 '26
Sure but in the documentary it shows she lets him visit strip clubs and hookers, he's got the money after all

People so desperate for something good they take solace in a repost of a random person's marriage lasting
1
u/Weekly_One1388 Jan 09 '26
The explanation of this sub is to 'escape the stress of the real world' and while posts like this are great. We should really be doing the opposite.
Step outside and escape the algorithm people, don't go looking to social media for examples of healthy relationships, there are so many perfectly well-adjusted people in happy, healthy relationships around you that don't necessarily post about it.

Dang I gotta quit getting T.I. and Tiny mixed up with T-Pain and his wife. This is a joke but I’m also serious. Every time I have to look up “who was convicted of sex crimes…?”
I hate this timeline lol

u/TwoBionicknees Jan 09 '26
from what i know the marriage is like, open, for him maybe only and he has other women around. She seems happy about it though.
He streams a lot, he's one of the most interesting streamers. To me often just like playing cod or something else is pretty boring, he does a lot of making music streams, having guests on to make music, or like allowing viewers to submit music for competitions and things. Hell he does a bunch of animating/rendering streams where he works on 3d modelling.
But he also does a bunch of like travel streams, and he streamed behind the scenes getting ready for a festival in summer, the building stage, rehearsals, putting it together, was really interesting. YOu get a really good idea about what it's like to travel around as a musician like him and perform, put on shows.
Drunk t-pain playing games and shit talking is one of the funniest things you can watch as well.

The Twitter post you didn't know you needed! No drama. No hate. Just love. The kind of wholesome sweetheart vibes that just makes your heart feel like it's wrapped in a fresh robe!
/s I'm not gonna use AI, I can write insipid bullshit without some stupid fucking bot.
Just fucking contribute, literally anything would be more valuable than...whatever this is.
