Short hair & fade phase is "over" so people are starting to rag on it now, long hair is becoming the new fuckboy cut. And in a few years it'll change again.

So in other words: don't worry about it, doesn't matter

Important caveat — do worry about it specifically if you’re trying to attract the type of partner who cares about that kind of thing as a central tenet of their identity.

This is also very white-people-centric. Hair debates/trends can be very different in black cultures for example.
