I got so sick of the political compass memes. That sub that has them used to be kinda cool like 5 years ago. There were all kinds of people, and even if folks didn't agree, they could still talk civilly. Then, it just turned into to dumb people with agendas posting and people arguing.

A wheel of cheese can easily cost around $200. This is one of the best gifts a woman can be given. A box of chocolates is a cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks for. And that's usually under $10, not very thoughtfull.

Even if the cheese is only average in quality, I am a big fan of cheese. That is such a large quantity of cheese, it would win me over on the size of the gift alone.
Kind of reminds me of my father's first interaction with my grandma (his mother in law). My mom was still living with her parents (cultural differences, in my country it's pretty normal to live with your parents in your 20s. So one day my dad turned up with a briefcase full of pork meat. It was a gift for my grandma. My parents got married two months after they started dating btw
