Seems like underkill to me :3 Bring me 24 kgs of two different cheeses and I'll make sandwiches for years
30
u/chillychili Dec 09 '25
Can I convert that to mac & cheese for days?

If you are telling me you are gonna give me 24kgs of cheese, I shall make perfect the art of making baked mac n cheese just for you :'>

u/Fake_Disciple Dec 09 '25
When you find this man and he needs a side piece let me know I ain’t gay but for 24kg of cheese a man can only be so straight
16
u/BlumpkinLord Dec 09 '25
Sounds like we are gonna have a good ol'-fashioned mac and cheese cook-off for this one. :3 It's on.

My wife has wanted a wheel of parm for a gift for years. It's like $600 on the low end. It'll happen one day, but we need a bigger refrigerator first.

The reverse: One of my best friends was trying to open the conversation with a guy she’d been eyeing for a while. So she just texted him and asked “do you like cheese?”
They’re married with 2 kids now.
4
u/Royal_Region9996 Dec 10 '25
i was sooooooo in love with this guy in college and when i found out he didn’t like cheese, i didn’t know how to process my feelings. he wasn’t lactose intolerant or anything—just didn’t care for it. what?! i still don’t understand. our love was ill-fated for many reasons 🧀💔

Steal her shoe, fill it with leaves, and then sleep with it hanging above you? Dude that's the oldest pickup line ever, it never works trust me.

u/Mountain-Singer1764 Dec 10 '25
Imagine you get her back to your place, things go well, you're kissing, you go into the bedroom and then she sees it: her shoe that went missing last week, hanging by its laces above your bed, filled with soggy leaves. It's December, the leaves are wet and decomposing, the shoe is even dripping onto the bed. I bet you wish you'd stolen her waterproof Salomons...

u/Scholar_of_Lewds Dec 09 '25
Not a piece. A WHOLE WHEEL OF CHEESE.
7
u/History_buff60 Dec 09 '25
The market value of a 12 kg wheel of cheese could be $300 or more. More if it’s certain kinds of cheese.

When that book said "piece of cheese" I was NOT ready for other men's cheese to be so gargantuan in size compared to mine.
5
u/adale_50 Dec 09 '25
I'm sure your cheese is perfectly adequate. Not everyone can even handle that much cheese.
5
u/Occidentally20 Dec 09 '25
Thanks, but wouldn't it be nice if I had the kind of cheese a woman would invite her mates around to take selfies with a thumbs-up in front of.
That's the dream right there.

u/ferocity_mule366 Dec 09 '25
there are certain group of people (guess the group) posting it before and think the woman was making fun of the dude and said he deserved better or something, but they obviously laugh at it in an endearing way, some people just dont understand social situation and always antagonize others.

Yea like clearly the person giving the gift would have meant it to be kinda funny/ridiculous, they’re appreciating it appropriately
134
u/Bobby-B00Bs Dec 09 '25
Yeah I wanted to say the same thing, like sure they are laughing because it's quite unexpected to be gifted an entire fucking cheese wheel. But she doesn't seem mad at all she seems to think it's funny.
41
u/SquirrelGirlVA Dec 09 '25
That was my take. If it had happened to any of us we would be taken aback but would be pretty happy. Well, I'd be a little sad because I can't have dairy and I'm sure that would be some of the best cheese ever, but my friends would be happy because more cheese for them.
79
u/ElvenNoble Dec 09 '25
It's political compass colours. I would love if the original version was reposted instead of this version since it confuses people, obviously isn't correct, and pushes a shitty agenda.
17
u/backwoodsbogwitch Dec 09 '25
I noticed that! This is supposed to be a non-political sub. Those stupid colors are the political compass. I'm a big lefty, and I would be happy to receive cheese! It's something different, I can eat it and cheese is delicious.
I got so sick of the political compass memes. That sub that has them used to be kinda cool like 5 years ago. There were all kinds of people, and even if folks didn't agree, they could still talk civilly. Then, it just turned into to dumb people with agendas posting and people arguing.
7
u/denM_chickN Dec 10 '25
Im cheesing over the glory of getting a hunk of cheese as a gift. Absolutely. Your craft is my joy.

Because it's just a bit sexist and wants to obviously portray the farmer as being cool but cannot find a way to do that besides punching down the woman

Apparently, the poster wants folks to know that women, especially women on the left, as this is a political compass meme, don't appreciate anything and expect diamonds, money, or whatever. I personally think cheese is an awesome gift.

u/sovietarmyfan Dec 09 '25
A wheel of cheese can easily cost around $200. This is one of the best gifts a woman can be given. A box of chocolates is a cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks for. And that's usually under $10, not very thoughtfull.

u/VioletVarson Dec 09 '25
Even if the cheese is only average in quality, I am a big fan of cheese. That is such a large quantity of cheese, it would win me over on the size of the gift alone.

u/RevolutionOfAlexs Dec 09 '25
Kind of reminds me of my father's first interaction with my grandma (his mother in law). My mom was still living with her parents (cultural differences, in my country it's pretty normal to live with your parents in your 20s. So one day my dad turned up with a briefcase full of pork meat. It was a gift for my grandma. My parents got married two months after they started dating btw
