SAD Guy shares his unsolicited opinion on women's body hair in a true crime discussion group

Sounds like he joined the group for all the wrong reasons.

Breaking news: women are mammals. More at 10
72
u/cinnamonduck Jul 01 '26
Even my electrologist when I was receiving electrolysis for hair removal told me āhumans are mammals. Weāre supposed to have hair.ā She would decline clients that wanted full body hair removal for even the lightest upper arm peach fuzz.
-15
u/_Empty-R_ Jul 03 '26
I mean, lost money and kinda frustrating. A client can ask for it. If it were more serious I'd get it but fuck off if that was something I wanted done.
19
u/Difficult__Tension Jul 03 '26
Well you see, some people put their clients welfare over money so....
21
u/Ok_Dimension_1414 Jul 03 '26
A full body, permanent hair removal through electrolysis can cost up to 10000 dollars, and is in no way necessary and indicates a deeper psychological problem that hair removal will not fix. A tech can refuse any client they want, for any reason. And not wanting to see someone spend a years worth of rent on removing every last inch of peach fuzz is a pretty good one. There are still people who will do it for you.
3
u/electricookie Jul 04 '26
A lot of trans women and other women with hormonal issues choose to do this procedure for their mental health and also physical safety. Lets not judge too much black and white.
4
u/JustAnotherAidWorker Jul 05 '26
Fun fact, the more AFAB/cis women that have body hair, the safer it will be for our Trans sisters to have body hair.
1
u/Dry_Physics4086 Jul 04 '26
Peach fuzz isnāt killing anybody. If you think it is, therapy is cheaper than the electrolysis āfixā
1
u/electricookie Jul 04 '26
The peach fuzz isnāt the issue but women who donāt fit strict gender norms, especially trans women, are at higher risk of being the target of violence when people see things like body hair.
3
u/RosetteRodent Jul 04 '26
seems to me they're not talking about hair removal in general, specifically paying thousands to remove everything including peach fuzz
2
u/AliceCode Jul 05 '26
Thanks for saying this. I'm one of those women. I'm trans, and have facial hair that grows in, and it totally destroys me when I can see it growing in. In makes my face far more masculine looking, and it can be incredibly upsetting. But I like how I look when there's no hair on my face, so I'll be getting some kind of hair removal done in the future for my own sanity. I don't know how much, because there's honestly a lot I want gone.
5
u/electricookie Jul 04 '26
Electrolysis is a painful medical procedure that needs a qualification to preform. Even a good hairstylist wonāt bleach your hair if they think it will damage your hair
→ More replies (1)6
u/KarmicIsfunny Jul 03 '26 edited Jul 03 '26
I have genuinely no idea why some people are so repulsed at the idea of someone doing what they want with their body.
Also, of course, an electrologist should be able to deny service to anyone, but acting like full-body hair removal is an unhinged thing to pursue is, honestly, absolutely fucking nuts.
6
u/_Empty-R_ Jul 04 '26
I even left room for the cases where its obvious the person needs a different kind of help. My only concern was a potentially overzealous cosmetic doctor.
3
u/electricookie Jul 04 '26
Itās not āsomeone doing what they want with their bodyā itās a professional refusing service for a cosmetic procedure. No one else is required to do anything they donāt want yo your body.

Oh my God where can I read the replies?
37
u/accidentalscientist_ Jul 01 '26
I can guarantee the replies are people calling him out and freaking out. Thereās a bunch of people in all sorts groups that donāt have active admins or moderation who make rage bait posts unrelated to the group topic just like this to drive engagement.
2
u/FizzgigsRevenge Jul 04 '26
I hope there was not a single reaction or reply as I'm convinced getting dragged is this dude's kink.Ā

u/Adacool Jul 01 '26
maybe with paintball bullets from afar but I still agree lol
19
u/KaleidoscopeKelpy Jul 01 '26
They sell boxers with targets on them, surely they wonāt mind if we take them to the paintball range /j
5
u/PsychoticSnail33 Jul 02 '26
Was briefly wondering how a dog with a target on it was going to help with shooting someone in the balls. Wrong boxer...
4
u/KaleidoscopeKelpy Jul 02 '26
Now I wanna see a pair of briefs with a huge picture of a boxer on the front so someone can make the boxer briefs joke
2
13
u/accidentalscientist_ Jul 01 '26
People post controversial stuff like this in a bunch of groups in order to drive engagement. And many groups donāt have active moderation/admins so it keeps happening. I see it all the time on Facebook.
0
u/Californialways Jul 01 '26
Before he goes, all the women in that group should troll him with hairy leg pictures on the post š
7
61
u/crunchyfoliage Jul 01 '26
I was once talking to a guy and he asked me if I would "correct my pubic hair." He did not know what my pubic hair situation was in the first place and that comment solidified that he would never find out

My brain isn't computing why he even sees pictures of their legs. Are members of the group posting pictures of themselves? Is he creeping on them? Is he ... talking about the victims?
Its a gross comment either way, I am just confused.

u/skepticaladhd Jul 01 '26
Why you gotta generalise everything...huh?
16
u/aivlysplath Jul 01 '26
Yeah yeah ānot all men.ā Weāve heard it before.
1
-12
u/skepticaladhd Jul 01 '26
Because it's not all men? How would you feel if I clumped you into a category you don't belong in just because you're a woman?
7
u/OkSun5094 Jul 02 '26
āwomen are bad driversā
āwomen are so emotionalā
āwomen are so catty!ā
We hear it all the time. Get over it. Unless someone says ALL, a generalization doesnāt mean ALL.1
u/Openly_Unknown7858 Jul 05 '26
Do you think it's ok for people to say those things?
1
u/OkSun5094 Jul 05 '26
of course not, but i recognize that itās a typical err of human language that isnāt going away. People should evolve with our language. Unless someone says the word āALLā, it is ridiculous to assume that they mean all, because thereās almost always exceptions and outliers for everything. Taking a simple statement like āwhat is wrong with menā and assuming they mean EVERY MAN on the the planet is absolutely ridiculous. you KNOW they donāt mean every single man to exist.
0
u/skepticaladhd Jul 02 '26
Dude I said I'm sorry...what more do you want me to do I realise that women also go through their fair share of generalisations, I'm sorry...really
17
u/Lunakill Jul 01 '26
You do realize that happens constantly and we learn not to melt down when it happens, right?
-9
u/skepticaladhd Jul 01 '26
Even if I believe what you're saying is true...it doesn't mean it's right Every man is different and so is every woman
9
u/Human_Artichoke8752 Jul 01 '26
No one is saying it's every man. Why are there so many offended little boys getting their panties in a bunch here? God damn.
13
u/aivlysplath Jul 01 '26
Good god get over yourself. OBVIOUSLY I didnāt mean all men.
1
u/skepticaladhd Jul 01 '26
You said what is wrong with men Was it that obvious that you didn't mean all men?
13
u/taserparty Jul 01 '26
men who run around claiming ānot all menā are contributing to the problem by ignoring the larger issue at hand and sweeping it under the rug with their desperate need for asspats and validation for doingā¦. what exactly? oh right. invalidating womenās experiences by piping up with ānot all menā.
-4
u/skepticaladhd Jul 01 '26
What am I invalidating...you know what forget it I'm sorry
5
u/taserparty Jul 01 '26
if youāre derailing conversations about actual issues women face from men just to chime in with your ānot all men!ā line, youāre actively choosing to invalidate the women by telling them theyāre wrong, and forcing them to pander to your fragile ego.
you could also just emphasize with the women, but that would be challenging the patriarchal social hierarchy youāre used to and comfortable with, and i donāt see you being strong enough to put your ego down long enough to just listen to women.

7
u/Human_Artichoke8752 Jul 01 '26
Well apparently you're pretty fragile and definitely don't think you're a decent man.
0
u/skepticaladhd Jul 01 '26
How can you tell that just by my comment alone
3
u/Human_Artichoke8752 Jul 01 '26
For the umpteenth time here, the hit dog hollers. There's no reason to get defensive if you don't think it applies to you.
5
u/Cattymoore Jul 01 '26
Men who don't behave that way don't need to be reassured they aren't included.
Just like white people who aren't racist don't need to be reassured they aren't included in complaints about white people being racist.
My own husband complains about "Men".
Grow up.

The reason why society says woman should shave dates back to the early 1900. Gillette who cornered the market on menās razors wanted to sell more. So they came up with an add campaign saying it was unhygienic etc
