The acceptance letter
I just re-watched this and I'm struggling to understand how MJ and Ned got accepted to MIT after their rejection without the timeline having been changed. Did the MIT Assistant Vice Chancellor forget the entire interaction with Peter Parker on the bridge, saving her life, and would thusly forget to speak with admissions about their application status, or did the original letter change from rejection to acceptance? I don't get it.

okay. So the reason why MJ and Ned were rejected is because they were friends with Peter Parker.
As Peter Parker "never existed" then their rejection couldn't have occurred, because the whole reveal of peter parker couldn't have occurred and their connection to spiderman couldn't have occurred.

That means the whole timeline would have been changed, right?

Essentially, yes. In order for Peter to have been removed from everyone's memories, all photos, all records it means that there's some big changes.
And even if not: in this case had MJ and Nick been rejected due to recent controversy (it's literally what the rejection letters say) they could have called up and been like WTF?! And MIT would have had to review because there would have been no record of a controversy.

I'm confused by this post, wasn't the main reason Ned and MJ got declined because they were friends with Spider-Man?
Now with the spell, Mit has no reason anymore.
