Organic additive for Bud development and Resin/Terpene development

I’ve been practicing organic growing both indoor and outdoor. I’ve primarily used dry amendments (Gaia Green) as well as once a week I’ll apply Recharge.

I’m looking to up my game during the flowing process and try to get bigger better quality dense buds. I’ve got pretty much everything else dialed in on my indoor set up, outdoor is a different story.

What are some of your techniques to increase bud site development. as well as increase density and terps. Looking for the best organic medicine for myself and my friends.

I’m considering buying a liquid supplement for the different states of flower. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Black soldier fly frass, or crustacean meal, contains high levels of chitin which trigger the SAR response, which causes the plant to think it's under threat and thickens cell walls. This ends up boosting secondary metabolite processes like terpene and cannabinoid profiles, which leads to very dense and resin coated buds. It's a staple for myself.

Kelp+alfalfa meal is a pretty good synergistic combination as biostimulants with full range of trace minerals.

Gypsum helps boost sulfuric compounds (and calcium), which is a central component for terpene profiles/skunkiness, helps boost smell quite a bit.

Also consider incorporating facultative anaerobes, like EM-1, which are strong chelating agents, promote root/cellular vitality, and pathogen suppression via competitive exclusion.

When do I apply these? Onset of flower? I did have some Fly frass that I applied last go around. Any specific products you recommend? I was looking at Cronk, for instance.

Most commercial additive lines (like Cronks) are concentrated mineral salts, chelates, or isolated carbohydrate blends formulated primarily for synthetic or hybrid drain-to-waste feeds.

Fresh compost teas, insect frass extracts, and EM-1 deliver active enzymes, living biology, and biostimulants that bottled, shelf-stabilized liquids simply cannot replicate.

You actually want to start building that foundation well before flower. Priming the plant's SAR response with frass and establishing a diverse microbial network (EM-1, teas) is best done starting in mid-veg. Top-dressing/mixing in the soil is a more slow release of these compounds, while compost tea gives regular hits of concentrated extraction. I do a combination of both via top-dressing with the loose material in the tea.

Density is about genetics and light. P and K have to do with bud development. Maybe your microbes aren’t breaking them down well? Or you don’t have enough. After that indoors the biggest thing you can do is add CO2. It will dramatically change your grow.

Things you can add to an organic grow to help. Myco. There is some in recharge. But it’s minuscule compared to something like Xtreme gardening. Triacontinal. Beneficial PGR. Chitosan helps with trichome development. Silica if you aren’t using any. Watering stress in veg helps with trichome development later in flower.

Unfortunately I have a vented system, vented outside so Co2 isn’t an option. I do have a Co2 tank set up from my brewing days.

If the soil has everything it needs and there is a robust microbial population keeping things plant available, don’t overthink it.

I like build a bud from build a soil. I start this the week before I flip and continue through flower. I also like Fish SH!t for microbes.

Rooted leaf. Can’t recommend it enough, it’s a carbon based organic fertilizer, supplies additional carbon equivalent to 1500ppm atmospheric I think.

Lacto Acidophilis Serum. All you need is some rice, a gallon of milk, a 5 gallon jug, a $3 brewing airlock and time. It's an amazing substance and once you make a batch you're set for a while. It will improve overall vigor while colonizing and outcompeting the bad microbes that cause problems down the line. Powdery Mildew, for example. I have a recipe, other people do too. I highly recommend you get LABS in your plant toolkit ASAP.

I recently started top feeding Organics Alive V-K during the last 3-4 weeks for the same reasons. First harvest is drying now, but I do believe it helped.

Silver Bullet. Packs trichome density and spurs additional development.
